DEPOSIT OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

• $25/hour

• Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

• 6-8 month contract

ROLE IMPACT

Bring your banking experience to a customer-focused deposit operations role where accuracy, service, and compliance matter every day. You’ll support deposit operations and help personal and business banking customers resolve account needs efficiently. Success means delivering responsive service while ensuring transactions, account maintenance, and documentation meet established banking and regulatory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support daily deposit operations, including Day 2 validation, file maintenance, non-posts, NSF items, new and closed account reviews, account confirmations, and operational reporting.

• Open and maintain personal and business deposit accounts, including CIP/KYC verification, beneficial ownership/CDD requirements, signer changes, documentation review, system coding, and account closures.

• Assist with wire transfers, OFAC/watchlist screening, callback procedures, and escalation of potential compliance concerns.

• Provide responsive customer service for EFTs, AFTs, stop payments, deposit products, service charges, ATM/debit cards, checking and savings transactions, funds availability, and check verification.

• Research and resolve account issues, coordinate with internal banking teams, provide statement and check copies, and assist with bank operations or teller duties as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous banking experience supporting deposit operations, banking center, branch, or similar financial-services functions.

• Hands-on experience with Jack Henry, Fiserv, or another mainstream bank core operating system.

• Working knowledge of deposit accounts, banking transactions, account maintenance, and customer service in a regulated banking environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• 5+ years of banking center, branch, or deposit operations experience.

• Knowledge of CIP/KYC, CDD, OFAC/watchlist procedures, wire transfers, and banking compliance processes.

• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills with experience supporting deposit products and account-related transactions.
