Job Description
Warehouse Cold Storage Order Picker – 2nd Shift
Pay: $21.20 per hour
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday
Location: Piedmont, SC
CER Management Group is hiring Cold Storage Warehouse Order Pickers for a refrigerated food-distribution facility.
This is a physically active warehouse position where employees will operate an electric pallet jack throughout the shift while traveling through the warehouse to select and gather products for customer orders.
Candidates with previous electric pallet jack and order-picking experience are strongly preferred.
Schedule
- Sunday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Monday through Thursday: 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Approximately 40 hours per week
Pay
- Base rate: $21.20 per hour
What You'll Do
- Operate an electric pallet jack to travel throughout the warehouse and collect products
- Pick food products according to customer orders
- Locate the correct products and verify item numbers and quantities
- Build and organize orders on pallets while picking
- Use pick lists, labels, scanners, or warehouse systems as required
- Check products and orders for accuracy
- Identify and report damaged or incorrect products
- Move completed orders to designated staging areas
- Follow warehouse, food-safety, and workplace safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Cold Storage Work Environment
This is a cold-storage warehouse position, not a standard room-temperature warehouse job.
Employees will perform their daily duties inside a refrigerated warehouse and must be comfortable working in cold temperatures throughout the shift.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Electric pallet jack experience strongly preferred
- Previous order-picking experience preferred
- Cold-storage, refrigerated warehouse, or food-distribution experience is a plus
- Comfortable operating an electric pallet jack throughout the workday
- Comfortable working in refrigerated and potentially freezer environments
- Ability to work the full Sunday-through-Thursday schedule
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift products throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and order accuracy
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment
