Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles including quad axel trucks, tractor-trailers, tankers to transport dairy products across designated routes.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on manual transmission trucks and other equipment to guarantee vehicle safety and readiness.
- Follow planned routes diligently while adapting to traffic conditions and delivery schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Uphold safety standards at all times by adhering to traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols during driving and loading/unloading activities.
Experience
Must have CDL A, with 24 months driving experience.
- Proven experience in truck driving or delivery roles, preferably with a background in commercial driving involving freight or dairy products.
- Skilled in operating manual transmission and automatic vehicles and various truck types including tractor-trailers and straight trucks.
- Familiarity with route driving techniques and load & unload procedures in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to trucking operations and vehicle maintenance practices.
- Weigher sampler licenses is required but will help with getting licenses if not already have one.
- Prior experience with driving tanker trucks is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
