Automotive technician

The Automotive Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing domestic vehicles to ensure safety and optimal performance. Working independently or within a small team, the technician conducts diagnostics, performs engine and transmission repairs, and handles routine inspections. Reporting to the Service Manager, this role requires a detail-oriented and skilled professional who can effectively manage time and utilize advanced diagnostic tools without the need for travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle diagnostics to identify mechanical and electrical issues
• Conduct engine repairs and routine maintenance tasks
• Maintain and repair brake systems to ensure vehicle safety
• Service transmissions and related components
• Carry out electrical system repairs and troubleshooting
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and fluid replacements

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in automotive repair
• Technical diploma in Automotive Technology
• Valid driver's license
• Proficiency in engine diagnostics, brake systems, electrical systems, and transmission repair
• Knowledge of hydraulics and computerized diagnostic tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective time management abilities
