Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced Buyer to join our team at our Grand Prairie manufacturing facility. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the flow of raw materials, components, and services necessary for production. This is an on-site position requiring daily presence at our facility to collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, engineering, and logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure raw materials, parts, equipment, and services based on company requirements.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.
  • Issue purchase orders (POs), track open orders, and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and production teams to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery standards are met.
  • Work closely with the production team to understand material needs and respond to demand fluctuations.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, vendor evaluations, and performance metrics.
  • Resolve issues related to delivery delays, quality discrepancies, or invoice mismatches.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline the procurement process and reduce lead times.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as applicable industry regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of supply chain principles and procurement best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems.
  • 3+ years of Quick Books exp. required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with QuickBooks a plus

Working Conditions:

  • This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Grand Prairie, TX facility.
  • Standard business hours with occasional overtime based on production needs.
