Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of Cath Lab experience and RCIS certification for an acute care cardiac catheterization lab.
Details
- Acute care Cardiac Cath Lab setting with 4 procedure suites
- Average of 10-15 cases per day
- Patient population includes interventional cardiology, structural heart, and peripheral vascular cases
- EP and IR are separate departments, though techs may float between them on occasion based on census
- Uses Epic and Merge systems
- Cases are typically scheduled from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with on-call coverage 24/7
- 4x10 or 5x8 shift schedules with call requirements
- Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call required with a 30-minute response time
- Schedule is created by the department supervisor
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab required
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification via CCI required
- License required if applicable
- Must demonstrate competence and prior hands-on experience in Cath Lab procedures
- Experience with Epic EMR
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include scrubbing in and monitoring during procedures
- 3 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation provided
- Scrubs are provided
- May float to other procedural areas on occasion based on census needs
