Neurointerventional Radiologic Technologist Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
ScheduleDay shift, 4x10 hours, from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, on call every other weekend.
Job DescriptionThe Neurointerventional Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the direction of a physician in the Angio Interventional Radiology or Neuro IR services. Key procedures include extra-cranial and intracranial angiography, vertebroplasty, myelograms, cisternograms, embolizations, cryoablations, coilings, and clot retrievals.
Responsibilities- Provide technical support for all IR and neurointerventional procedures.
- Assist in the clinical support of neurointerventional procedures.
- Operate advanced imaging equipment following established guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and radiation safety practices.
- Instruct students and residents, performing preceptor duties as necessary.
- Perform quality assurance checks on imaging equipment.
- Maintain supply inventory for all procedures.
- Utilize UHS information systems for scheduling and documentation.
- Review coding procedures for accurate billing.
- Engage in continuous learning through lectures and educational resources.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with hospital policies.
- ARRT(R) certification.
- New York State license as a Radiologic Technologist.
- BLS Certification from AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross.
- Experience in IR and neurointerventional procedures.
