AlliedTravelCareers is working with Jackson HealthPros to find a qualified CT Tech in Salinas, California, 93901!

We’re seeking an experienced Clinical Coordinator - CT Tech for a permanent role with an area healthcare client where you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the C.T. Department and accurately interpreting a physician’s scanning instructions, skillfully administering contrast materials, and expertly operating CT scan equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

• CRT certification required.
• ARRT (CT) certification required.
• Fluoroscopy certification required.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status per American Heart Association standards required.
• At least three (3) years of experience as a licensed Radiologic Technologist.
• At least two (2) years of experience specifically as a CT Technologist.
• Competency with Meditech, PACS, and Pyxis as related to imaging and patient care.
• Experience performing diagnostic CT procedures including head, chest, spine, abdomen, pelvis, cardiac, vascular studies, bone density and 3-D reconstruction.
• Experience assisting physicians with interventional CT procedures such as biopsies.
• Experience starting intravenous lines, administering and documenting contrast, and loading power injectors.
• Experience in staff training, competency assessment, and development of policies and protocols supporting ACR accreditation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate day-to-day operations of the CT department.
• Perform diagnostic CT exams across a variety of body regions and modalities, including cardiac and vascular studies and 3-D reconstruction.
• Assist physicians with interventional CT procedures as needed.
• Transport and provide care for patients during movement and within the department.
• Prepare patients for exams, obtain consent, explain procedures, and answer questions.
• Start IV lines and administer contrast and other preparations per protocol.
• Pull contrast from Pyxis and document contrast usage in eMAR per protocol. Mix oral and rectal contrast for applicable exams.
• Evaluate patient condition pre- and post-procedure and report changes to nursing staff or radiologist.
• Assist with emergency medical treatment under physician direction.
• Report equipment malfunctions, maintain department inventory, and perform departmental housekeeping tasks.
• Review and verify outpatient orders for following day and contact physicians to verify orders as needed.
• Serve as a resource for technologists, referring physicians, radiologists, and other staff.
• Communicate system and operation changes to CT staff. Attend meetings and in-services to maintain knowledge of equipment and protocol changes. Maintain CEUs and CPR for license.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality measures.
• Work with Radiologist and Department Manager to develop and implement CT policies and protocols and support ACR accreditation maintenance.
