Job Title: General Production Worker (Glass Manufacturing)
Job Description
This role supports a leading glass and glazing manufacturer by operating production equipment, handling glass materials, and contributing to efficient, high-quality output on the production line. You will work in a hands-on environment where you assist with machine operation, material handling, and general production tasks to keep manufacturing processes running smoothly and safely.
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery and equipment used in glass manufacturing in a safe and efficient manner.
- Handle, move, and position glass products and materials throughout the production process.
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure consistent quality and identify any issues or irregularities.
- Assist with basic machine adjustments and changeovers as directed to maintain smooth production flow.
- Use forklifts or other material handling equipment to transport glass and related materials as needed.
- Follow established production procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines at all times.
- Inspect glass products visually for defects and ensure they meet quality standards before moving to the next stage.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to support a safe and efficient production environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and resolve issues promptly.
- Complete required production and safety documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Essential Skills
- Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to operate production machinery safely and follow standard operating procedures.
- Basic forklift operation skills or experience using material handling equipment.
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for long periods and handling glass materials.
- Strong attention to detail to identify defects and maintain product quality.
- Reliability and punctuality to support consistent production schedules.
- Ability to follow safety rules and maintain a safe working environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in a glass worker role or glass manufacturing environment.
- Comfort working with large, fragile materials such as glass.
- Willingness to learn new machinery and production processes.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills within a production setting.

Work Environment
This position is based in a glass manufacturing facility, working primarily on the production floor around industrial machinery and glass-handling equipment. The schedule follows Monday through Thursday 12-hour shifts, which may involve standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment. Team members work closely with others on the line and around forklifts and other material handling equipment, following strict safety procedures and wearing appropriate protective clothing and gear as required for handling glass and operating machinery.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
