Job Description
This role focuses on assembling large units in an outdoor production environment by following dimensional drawings, safety requirements, and quality standards. You will perform a variety of assembly tasks using hand and power tools, rotate between workstations, and ensure all work meets specified requirements while maintaining accurate records of completed processes.
Responsibilities- Assemble units according to dimensional drawings, safety requirements, and established quality methods.
- Follow instructions from the group leader to perform various assembly tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Use hand and power tools such as pneumatic impact tools, pliers, wrenches, and tape measures to complete assigned work.
- Move between multiple workstations as needed to support different stages of the assembly process.
- Perform casing and wiring activities as part of the unit assembly.
- Complete sub-assembly mating and integrate components into final assemblies.
- Recognize and report errant or nonconforming parts to the appropriate personnel.
- Record completed processes and maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
- Lift and handle materials and components, including repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs, while following safe lifting techniques.
- Use all assigned personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Work outdoors on large units positioned on docks for crane and truck loading, adapting to changing weather conditions.
- Maintain excellent attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude to support team and production goals.
- Collaborate with team members, demonstrate flexibility, and adapt to changes in work assignments or priorities.
- Ability to read and interpret dimensional drawings and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Proficiency using hand tools and power tools, including pneumatic impact tools, pliers, wrenches, and tape measures.
- Assembly experience or demonstrated ability to perform mechanical and general labor tasks in a production environment.
- Capability to perform repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs safely.
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong flexibility and adaptability to change, including rotating among multiple workstations.
- Team-oriented mindset with the initiative to learn new tasks and processes.
- Excellent attendance, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Consistent use of all assigned personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety requirements.
- Previous experience in a large plant or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with casing, wiring, and sub-assembly mating.
- Comfort working around large units and heavy equipment such as cranes and trucks.
- Ability to stand, walk, and stoop for extended periods during the shift.
- Strong attention to detail for identifying errant parts and ensuring quality standards.
- Basic documentation skills for recording completed processes and production data.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a large plant environment with non–temperature-controlled conditions. Many duties take place outdoors, literally in the elements, where large units are assembled on docks to be loaded by cranes and trucks. You will work on 1st shift, typically from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with Friday and Saturday currently mandatory on the same shift. The role requires standing and walking for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs (non-repetitive and repetitive), and frequent stooping. You must consistently wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and be comfortable working around industrial tools and equipment in an active production setting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
