Teacher's Aide - Olivehurst, California

Step into a rewarding contract position supporting an elementary-aged student with your expertise in American Sign Language (ASL) as a Paraprofessional. This full-time opportunity offers 32 hours each week, where you’ll make a positive impact in an educational setting while working closely with a dedicated team.

Use your fluency in ASL to help facilitate communication, participation, and academic success for a male elementary student. You’ll provide essential support throughout the school day in a vibrant educational environment, working collaboratively with teachers and classroom staff.

Qualifications:

• Must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Prior experience in a paraprofessional or classroom support role (preferred, but not required)
• Genuine interest in working with elementary students
• Patient, adaptable, and collaborative approach to learning environments
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, encouraging attitude
• EIPA not required for this position

What You’ll Do:

• Assist an elementary-aged student during daily classroom activities and transitions
• Interpret classroom instructions and facilitate communication between student and staff/peers using ASL
• Offer one-on-one or small group support to reinforce learning and foster independence
• Help implement individual learning and behavioral strategies developed by the educational team
• Support an inclusive and welcoming classroom environment for all students
• Maintain accurate notes and communication with instructional staff as needed
