Job Description
Step into a fulfilling role supporting junior high students as a School Psychologist on a contract assignment. This opportunity is based onsite and is designed to cover a maternity leave, spanning from a prompt start through November 1, 2026. The position offers a consistent full-time schedule in a collaborative and supportive school environment.
Qualifications:
- Active and current School Psychologist license for the state of Ohio
- Previous experience working as a School Psychologist within educational settings
- Proficiency in conducting assessments, delivering counseling, and consulting with educational staff
- Strong understanding of junior high school developmental and academic needs
- Ability to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Skilled in written and verbal communication
Responsibilities:
- Provide psychological assessment, intervention, and counseling services to junior high students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs and intervention strategies
- Offer expert consultation to educators and families on learning, behavior, and mental health concerns
- Participate in Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) processes
- Maintain accurate records, complete required reports, and adhere to district and legal guidelines
- Serve as a resource for crisis intervention and provide support during student transitions
