Job Description
Make a difference in the lives of elementary students by bringing your expertise as a School Psychologist to a welcoming school community near Marion, OH. This full-time, contract opportunity spans the full 2026-2027 academic year, offering the chance to support a vibrant PK/K-5th grade population. Your commitment of 37.5 hours per week will have a meaningful impact on young learners and their families.
Qualifications:
- Active Ohio School Psychologist License required
- Experience working as a School Psychologist within a school setting, preferably with early childhood or elementary grades
- Strong knowledge of child development, learning assessment, and special education processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Organizational skills and flexibility in managing caseloads and meeting deadlines
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide targeted interventions for students’ academic, social, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations, prepare reports, and present findings to educational teams and families
- Consult with teachers and staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Serve as a resource and advocate for PK/K-5 students, supporting their emotional and educational well-being
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to determine eligibility for special education services
- Deliver counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
- Collaborate with families to foster supportive home-school connections
