Painter -- Dallas VA Medical Center -- $30/hr + OT, Hiring Now

Job Description

We're hiring 10 Painters to join our crew on a new federal contract at the Dallas VA Medical Center. This is steady, full-time work with immediate need — apply today and we'll move fast.

Pay & Schedule

• $30.00/hour, straight time
• $45.00/hour overtime (as available)
• Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Federal holidays off
• 6-month contract to start, with strong potential for extension
  

What You'll Do

• General painting for new construction, remodels, and renovations — offices, patient wards, corridors, dining areas, and living quarters
• Refinish furniture, wood, and metal surfaces (desks, cabinets, chairs, equipment)
• Surface prep: spackling, caulking, glazing, and coating application
• Install vinyl wall coverings and wallpaper; hang, tape, and bed
• Cut stencils and paint signage; help mix and match colors
• Coordinate with interior designers on wall coverings and color selection
  

What You Need

• Current OSHA certification
• Ability to pass E-Verify employment eligibility check
• Three professional references
• Sign a Letter of Intent, as required by the VA
• Reliable transportation to Dallas VA Medical Center, 4500 S. Lancaster Rd., Dallas, TX 75216
• Own basic PPE readiness: steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, long pants/sleeves (arc-rated or natural fiber)
