Shareholder - Employment Law

Position Overview

Join a growing employment law practice where you'll have the opportunity to handle sophisticated employer-side matters, strengthen client relationships, and expand your practice within a highly collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Advise employers on employment law matters, including compliance, workplace policies, employee relations, risk management, and workforce issues.
  • Manage employment litigation, administrative proceedings, investigations, and dispute resolution matters from strategy through resolution.
  • Draft and negotiate employment agreements, separation agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, executive employment agreements, and related documentation.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships while contributing to the growth of the Employment Law practice.
  • Partner with attorneys across multiple practice areas to provide comprehensive legal solutions for businesses and employers.

Qualifications / Nice to Have

Must Have
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission.
  • Significant employment law experience in a law firm environment.
  • Experience counseling employers on complex employment law matters.
  • Experience independently managing litigation, agency proceedings, investigations, and client relationships.
  • Existing book of business or demonstrated business development success.
Nice to Have
  • Experience representing privately held, middle-market, or closely held businesses.
  • Experience mentoring junior attorneys.
  • Experience handling wage and hour, restrictive covenant, executive employment, or labor and employment matters.

Benefits

  • Expected compensation generally ranging from $275,000 to $400,000+, depending on productivity, collections, and business origination.
  • 15% origination compensation on collected revenue from originated business.
  • Profit-sharing contributions, historically ranging from $10,000 to $28,000 annually.
  • Two-year draw protection period for lateral Non-Equity Partner hires during practice integration.
