Compensation Analyst
Location: On-Site, Nashville, TN (with flexibility)
Schedule: Core hours 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Central Time)
Pay Rate: $36.00/hour

Job Summary
The Compensation Analyst is responsible for supporting compensation programs, including salary administration and stock plan management, at our Nashville location. This position exercises independent judgment with minimal direction and partners with HR and management to ensure competitive and compliant pay practices. As part of our HR team, you will maintain employee compensation data, analyze market trends, and support the administration of compensation policies and procedures. Flexibility and strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Administer and coordinate salary, compensation, and stock programs across the organization.
  • Maintain, analyze, and ensure accuracy of employee compensation records using advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLookups).
  • Interpret, communicate, and review compensation policies in compliance with legal standards and company guidelines.
  • Provide guidance to management and staff on compensation structure, policies, and practices.
  • Interface with HR staff to resolve compensation and benefits inquiries or issues, acting as point of escalation as needed.
  • Prepare compensation analysis reports, surveys, and participate in salary benchmarking.
  • Evaluate and recommend solutions to compensation-related matters.
  • Contribute data and insights in HR meetings.
  • Ensure proper documentation, support background checks, and maintain confidential employee information.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to internal stakeholders.

Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of compensation or stock plan administration experience (preferred).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including pivot tables and VLookups) required.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience in interpreting and applying employment laws, equal opportunity, and pay-scale systems required.
  • Ability to work independently, maintain attention to detail, and manage multiple priorities.

Interview Process
  • Two rounds of interviews: First with team lead, final with manager.

Additional Requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Previous experience managing sensitive employee information with discretion.
  • Proven ability to resolve disputes, administer policies, and handle confidential matters.
  • May be required to instruct or mentor other HR staff.
