Special Education Teacher - Arvada, Colorado

Key Qualifications:

• Current and valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Teacher licensure
• Experience or training in Significant Support Needs (SSN) programs preferred
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Commitment to inclusive education and positive student outcomes

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to elementary students with significant support needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with families and a multidisciplinary team
• Incorporate specialized strategies and supports to address academic, behavioral, and social goals
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to ensure student progress
