Pet Care Needed - Full-time / Part-time

Inside /outside grey, Himalayan mix . Very sweet but is a loner kitty . He is a rescue and is 10 yrs , his name is Cynder . He has like 1/2 inch little tufts or matted hair . My father used to brush him all of the time , now his memory is quickly fading . I need to get sweet Cynder the Full Serv kitty treatment . Id like to shave him like a lion since he has mats on the back . Thank you so much
