Occupational Therapist

Job description:

Occupational Therapist (OT) will take care of patients in their homes and establish relationships that positively impact the quality of life of our patients.

• Evaluate and treat patients using the most current technology and practice using Kinnser web-based documentation system.

• Provide valuable input into the patient's care and treatment.

• Assess patient needs, planning for, evaluating, and modifying care to meet goals of Occupational Therapy Interventions.

• Advising, consulting, and instructing members of the multidisciplinary team in specific occupational therapy modalities.

• Observing and reporting patient progress and/or changes in patient status to the physician and appropriate multidisciplinary team members.

• Other duties as assigned

Occupational Therapist (OT) Job Requirements:

• Successful completion of an Occupational Therapy program accredited with the American Occupational Therapy Association and the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association preferred.

• Current and unencumbered license to practice occupational therapy, specific to the state of Virginia.

• At least 6 months of Occupational Therapy experience preferred.

• Current CPR certification

• Must be familiar with general use and functions of the computer, such as user names and password concepts; internet; e-mail; navigation of computer desktop, including starting programs, using files, and windows; effectively use navigation buttons and tool bars; ability to self-manage online HR services and online training programs.
