Per Diem / PRN Occupational Therapist

Position Summary

Avir at Montana is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Per Diem / PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our rehabilitation team. The Occupational Therapist will provide skilled evaluation and treatment services to patients with a variety of functional and rehabilitation needs, helping them achieve greater independence, improve daily functioning, and enhance their quality of life.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.

  • Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions based on each patient's diagnosis, condition, and goals.

  • Address activities of daily living, strength, coordination, balance, mobility, cognition, and functional performance.

  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate.

  • Complete accurate and timely evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge documentation.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, safety strategies, and home programs.

  • Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings as needed.

  • Maintain compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, facility policies, and professional standards.

  • Provide coverage on a PRN/per-diem basis according to facility and patient needs.

Qualifications

  • Current Occupational Therapist license in the State of Texas.

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

  • Current CPR certification, if required by facility policy.

  • Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or a related healthcare setting preferred.

  • Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

  • Dependable, flexible, compassionate, and committed to providing high-quality patient-centered care.
