Welder II | Hyde Park, UT
Nexeo Staffing is seeking a skilled and motivated Welder II to join a leading fabrication and manufacturing company in Hyde Park, Utah. This position is ideal for an experienced welder who can interpret blueprints, produce high-quality welds, and take ownership of projects from start to finish. The Welder II plays an important role in meeting production goals, maintaining quality standards, mentoring junior welders, and contributing to a safe and productive work environment. Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, and schematics to support welding production.
- Perform welding work according to project requirements, production schedules, and quality standards.
- Meet daily production quotas while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
- Minimize scrap, rework, and material waste.
- Take ownership of assigned projects, timelines, and workmanship.
- Ensure all products meet customer expectations and company quality standards.
- Follow first-article inspection procedures and quality control processes.
- Maintain accurate labor tracking by clocking in and out of jobs through the MRP system.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Participate in cross-training opportunities on additional equipment and processes.
- Collaborate with team members to keep projects on schedule.
- Mentor and train Welder I employees on company standards and welding best practices.
- Maintain reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with coworkers, customers, and vendors.
Qualifications
- Current welding certification required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication specifications.
- Experience performing production welding in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, processes, and quality standards.
- Ability to consistently meet production goals and deadlines.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
- Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support junior team members.
- Excellent attention to detail and workmanship.
- Professional attitude and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable, motivated, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb as required.
- Ability to operate welding equipment, industrial machinery, and other shop equipment safely.
- Ability to frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work both indoors and periodically in outdoor weather conditions.
- Ability to visually inspect welds, materials, and finished products for quality and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other departments.
Pay
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour
Schedule
Full Time | Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
