Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist (School-Based)
Location: Leesburg, VA
Duration: 44 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Shift: 8:50 AM – 3:40 PM | Hours: Approximately 6.83 hours/day
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Leesburg, VA. The SLP will provide speech and language services to students, support their educational development, and collaborate with teachers, families, and other school professionals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
- Provide individual and/or group speech and language therapy.
- Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, and communication needs.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate goals and services.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes and assessment reports.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and other professionals.
- Monitor student progress and modify therapy strategies as needed.
- Provide recommendations and strategies to support communication skills in the classroom.
- Follow all school and applicable regulatory requirements related to student services and documentation.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current or eligible Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist license/certification.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred/required as applicable.
- Clinical experience working with children or in a school setting preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to supporting students’ academic, social, and communication development.
