About the roleThe Assistant Team Lead (Assistant General Manager) is a servant leader who supports the Team Lead in driving store success. This role ensures our mission and values are lived out daily while leading and developing the team.
This individual is passionate about hospitality, servant leadership, and excellence in restaurant operations. They foster a positive, growth-oriented environment for both guests and team members while supporting consistent, high-quality food and service.
Key responsibilitiesTeam leadership & culture
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members at all levels
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Lead by example as a servant leader, modeling hospitality, integrity, and work ethic
- Provide regular feedback and recognition to motivate and grow the team
Restaurant operations
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring consistency, cleanliness, and high-quality service
- Champion hospitality by coaching the team to create exceptional guest experiences
- Partner with leadership to execute smooth shifts and uphold food quality, speed, and presentation standards
- Manage food orders, deliveries, storage, and organization
- Conduct daily/weekly inventory counts and manage stock levels
- Create weekly staff schedules aligned with business needs
- Maintain full knowledge of food preparation processes and recipes to coach and train others
- Support in managing controllable and non-controllable costs
Health & safety compliance
- Maintain active ServSafe certification and lead food safety protocols from receiving to service
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Enforce best practices to maintain a safe, compliant work environment
Financial & business operations
- Manage inventory, food costs, and labor to meet business goals
- Oversee production levels to ensure food quality while minimizing waste
- Review monthly P&Ls to identify opportunities and drive results
- Verify deliveries against invoices to ensure accuracy
- 3+ years of leadership experience in fast-casual or full-service restaurants
- Proven success in managing teams, operations, and financial results
- Strong interpersonal, coaching, and problem-solving skills
- Lead-by-example mentality with a passion for servant leadership
- Humble, collaborative, and respectful leadership style
- Highly organized with strong time-management skills
- Proficiency in tools such as Toast, 7Shifts, R365, and G Suite (preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable with bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching overhead
- Able to work near open flames and in varied temperature environments
- Maintain focus and communicate clearly in a fast-paced environment
- Competitive base pay plus profit sharing plan

Required qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in the hospitality industry
- 18 years or older
- At least high school diploma or equivalent or higher
- Food Service license/certification: ServSafe Manager Certification
- Food Service license/certification: ServSafe Alcohol Certification
- Management skills: supervising employees
- Management skills: hiring and onboarding
- Able to stand for duration of shift
