Company Class A Driver

The Company Class A Driver plays a critical role within a larger driving team by ensuring the safe and efficient transport of goods for local deliveries. Reporting directly to the dispatch group, this position requires expertise in commercial vehicle operation, a strong focus on safety compliance, and the ability to manage time effectively. This role involves drayage-related tasks within port terminal lanes, emphasizing careful vehicle inspection and load securing to maintain the highest standards of safety without overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips
• Secure loads to meet safety regulations and prevent cargo damage
• Comply with all safety and regulatory requirements
• Handle equipment safely and efficiently
• Manage time effectively to ensure on-time deliveries
• Perform drayage operations within port terminal lanes
• Coordinate with dispatch and team members to optimize delivery routes
• Monday through Friday 0600 to finish
• May have days container spotting at our warehouse

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in commercial driving
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Proficiency in commercial vehicle operation, must be able to drive standard.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle inspection protocols
• Strict adherence to safety compliance standards
• Effective time management skills
• Clear communication and problem-solving abilities
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of the role

Candidate must have a clean driving record and must have Port Terminal experience.
