Job Description

A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Business Immigration Paralegal to join its Immigration practice in Florham Park. This position supports attorneys across a sophisticated business immigration caseload and requires strong case management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare employment-based immigrant and non-immigrant petitions and applications, including PERM, I-140, Consular Processing, Adjustment of Status, Naturalization, H-1B, L, E-1/E-2, TN, O-1, J and EB-5 matters
  • Prepare responses to complex Requests for Evidence
  • Manage an individual caseload and ensure filings and deadlines are completed accurately and on time
  • Research immigration laws, procedures and regulatory updates
  • Maintain case information and documentation within the immigration case management system
  • Communicate with clients regarding case documentation, status and requirements
  • Coordinate with USCIS, U.S. consulates and embassies, DOL and NVC
  • Schedule visa interviews and assist with client intake, mailings and immigration submissions
  • Prepare and maintain case and practice-related reports
  • Provide additional support to the Immigration team as needed


Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of business immigration experience within a law firm
  • Experience preparing both immigrant and non-immigrant visa petitions
  • Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal certification or equivalent experience required
  • Strong knowledge of business immigration processes and filing requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters and strict deadlines
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Familiarity with INSZoom or similar immigration case management systems
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
