HAACP and any other GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) experience
Role Summary:
The Quality Manager will report directly to the Director of Manufacturing/ Plant Manager. The Quality Manager will plan, coordinate, and direct quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards. Direct the activities of suppliers, production employees, and customers to resolve quality problems and continuously improve the level of quality. Drive cost savings initiatives and track progress towards plant goals. Lead all safety efforts and run the Safety Team Meetings. Act as the ISO and AIB Practitioner/Leader. Manage and complete paperwork for all state and federal mandated environmental compliance.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Maintaining and developing closedloop quality system driven to reduce process variation and ensure plant compliance.
• Act as change agent to drive continuous improvement of production and service processes to improve quality and increase efficiency, which includes root cause analysis and problem solving. oFormulate and maintain quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers and/or CI Organization to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
• Develop and implement product quality plans and procedures by overseeing gauge requirements, frequency, responsibility and methods to ensure compliance to process and product specifications. oDirect workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure quality control over raw materials and final products.
• Plan, promote, and organize training activities related to product quality and reliability.
