Food Service/ Housekeeping

The Food Service/Housekeeping role involves maintaining cleanliness, safety, and efficiency in both food service and housekeeping operations. This position requires a balance of skills in food preparation, customer service, and room maintenance within a dedicated or combined team environment.

This position will be for the Department of Juvenile Justice in Savannah, GA.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to safety and quality standards
• Clean and sanitize food service and housekeeping areas
• Provide excellent customer service to guests
• Manage inventory and supplies efficiently
• Dispose of waste following safety and environmental guidelines
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations
• Maintain guest rooms and common areas
• Handle laundry tasks promptly and accurately
• Clean and maintain equipment used in food service and housekeeping

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in food service or housekeeping
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong customer service skills
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and sanitation standards
• Understanding of food safety practices
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Attention to detail in all tasks
• Basic food preparation skills
