Legal Assistant - Personal Injury Pre-Litigation

The Opportunity

As our Legal Assistant in our Personal Injury Pre-Litigation department, you will have the opportunity to assist our Paralegals and Attorneys in progressing our wrongful death, TBI, catastrophic injury, and major orthopedic cases through pre-litigation.

This position can be based in downtown Los Angeles or Torrance.

Accountable for

• Prepare documents for filing.
• Draft complaints and minors compromises.
• Understand and monitor court deadlines and statute of limitations.
• Communicate with clients in an effective and courteous manner.
• Prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) of experience drafting complaints.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
• Detail oriented.
• Experience working in Personal Injury law a huge plus.
• Type at least 40 WPM.

Compensation

• $22-26 per hour ($45,000 - $54,000) depending on experience, plus performance-based incentives.
