Position Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising and managing labor and equipment within the Pick/Ship operation while partnering closely with the Control Tower team to ensure operational priorities are met. This role oversees daily warehouse activities, employee performance, customer order fulfillment, labor management, and shipping operations to ensure on-time delivery and quality standards are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Hire, onboard, train, and develop employees within the Picking and Shipping departments.
• Supervise daily warehouse operations and ensure productivity goals are achieved.
• Manage employee performance, coaching, and corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Maintain adequate levels of departmental supplies and equipment.
• Monitor order-picking activities and shipment readiness through SAP/WMS systems.
• Collaborate with the Control Tower to prioritize orders and communicate potential delays.
• Investigate and respond to operational inquiries from the Control Tower and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with customer requests and vendor-specific shipping requirements.
• Monitor conveyor flow and product movement to designated warehouse areas.
• Maintain Kronos timekeeping records and operational metrics using Excel and WMS reporting tools.
• Oversee picking and shipping functions on the warehouse floor.
• Ensure all end-of-shift processes, shipping systems, and floor closeout procedures are completed accurately.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with SAP and/or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Minimum of 2 years of inventory research and reconciliation experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Experience with SAP, Kronos, and warehouse reporting systems.
• Knowledge of parcel shipping carriers, including UPS, FedEx, and DHL.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities.
• Self-directed, goal-oriented, and team-focused approach.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and walkie riders.
• Ability to work in a light manufacturing and distribution environment.
• Comfortable working in a production environment with moderate noise levels.
