Job Description
Orion's Home Healthcare LLC is seeking a New Jersey Licensed Registered Nurse for the position of Nurse Field Supervisor. This role is essential for ensuring high standards of clinical compliance, client satisfaction, and the delivery of appropriate care. You will be responsible for assessing client needs, developing written plans of care, and providing direct supervision to our Direct Care employees.
The Bottom Line: We are looking for a leader who can exercise independent judgment and advanced clinical knowledge to manage case assignments and evaluate care delivery in a home setting throughout Hunterdon County.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Assessment & Case Management: Conduct in-home evaluations to assess health, functional, social, and environmental needs; develop and monitor comprehensive plans of care within 3 days of start of care.
- Staff Supervision: Exercise authority to assign, reward, and discipline Direct Care employees. This includes performing yearly competency evaluations, reinforcing basic skills, and instructing on clinical techniques.
- Care Coordination: Manage initial assignments and adjust caseloads as necessary to ensure continuity of care and adequate coverage.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate client records and case documentation in accordance with HIPAA standards; prepare and submit timely productivity and time reports.
- Problem Resolution: Resolve client complaints and service delivery issues while participating in quality improvement and utilization review processes.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Must be a New Jersey Licensed Registered Nurse with valid malpractice insurance.
- Education: Completion of educational requirements necessary for a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Mobility: Must have a valid driver’s license, proper auto insurance, and the willingness to travel frequently throughout the service area, including Hunterdon
- Skills: Exceptional communication and decision-making skills; ability to function independently in a stressful environment with multiple simultaneous demands.
- Experience: Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
