Job Overview
PATH at Stone Summit is seeking a part-time Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric and medical care to young adults in our residential mental health treatment program. The work will be primarily onsite with occasional opportunities for remote work, at PATH's discretion.
This is a flexible 1099 independent contractor opportunity for a psychiatrist interested in providing approximately 10–15 hours of clinical care per week in a small, collaborative residential setting. Our program is psychodynamically-oriented, with milieu, group, and individual therapy for residents several times a week. The ideal candidate will be interested in, and comfortable with, psychodynamic concepts and approaches to treatment.
The psychiatrist will provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management and oversee documentation, while also addressing residents' basic healthcare needs and working closely with our clinical and residential teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing treatment.
- Provide medication management, including prescribing, monitoring, and adjusting medications as clinically appropriate.
- Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and other concerns.
- Address residents' basic healthcare needs and provide appropriate assessment and follow-up.
- Evaluate and respond to routine health concerns that arise within the residential setting.
- Coordinate with nursing, clinical, and residential staff regarding resident care.
- Communicate with outside healthcare providers and other members of the treatment team as needed.
- Participate in treatment planning and provide clinical recommendations.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Provide guidance to staff regarding psychiatric and medical concerns when appropriate.
