Job Description

The Housing Lease Manager oversees all leasing, occupancy, and resident‐facing operations across the foundation’s diverse affordable‐housing portfolio. This role ensures units are leased efficiently, residents receive high‐quality support, and all activities comply with federal, state, and local housing regulations.

The ideal candidate is detail‐oriented, mission‐driven, and experienced in affordable housing or property management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leasing Management — Manage the full leasing cycle, including marketing, applications, screenings, approvals, move‐ins, and renewals.
  • Affordable Housing Compliance — Maintain compliance with HUD, SHIP, HOME, Fair Housing, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Occupancy Oversight — Track occupancy levels, turnover, waitlists, and unit availability to maintain portfolio stability.
  • Resident Relations — Serve as the primary point of contact for residents; support conflict resolution and connect residents to services when needed.
  • Rent Administration — Oversee rent calculations, payment processing, delinquency tracking, and payment‐plan coordination.
  • Property Coordination — Collaborate with maintenance staff to schedule inspections, repairs, turnovers, and unit readiness.
  • Reporting & Documentation — Prepare monthly occupancy reports, compliance files, leasing metrics, and audit documentation.
  • Community Engagement — Work with local agencies, workforce partners, and service providers to support resident stability.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in affordable housing, property management, or leasing administration.
  • Knowledge of HUD, SHIP, HOME PROGRAMS, Fair Housing, and tenant income‐certification processes.
  • Strong communication, customer‐service, and conflict‐resolution skills.
  • Proficiency with property‐management software (Yardi, AppFolio, or similar).
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and ability to travel between properties.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SHIP/HOME Certification (HCCP, TCS, or equivalent).
  • Experience working in a nonprofit or mission‐driven housing environment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Familiarity with Pinellas County’s affordable‐housing landscape.

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Primarily office‐based with regular travel to properties across Pinellas County.
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours for resident needs or community events.
