Hem Die Technician

Summary:
Responsible for hem die tuning from die arrival through start of production at the customer facility.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Preliminary inspection of hem die and documentation.
• Conduct hem validation measurements, documentation, and die tuning.
• Troubleshooting and evaluating issues and make any modifications.
• Welding and grinding of the hem die.
• Interface with customer representatives.
• Die tuning with different iterations of sheet metal throughout the program.
• Provide feedback and communicate with Die Engineering, Quality Iteration, Assembly Project Managers.
• Support at customer facilities
• Maintain all customer standards through HIROTEC America Engineering Policies and Procedures (i.e. Quality System, Safety Handbook, etc.).
• Other duties and projects may be assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Active Driver's License
• Knowledge of basic mechanics and safety precautions in the Manufacturing environment.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
• International travel required for service and installation of 75%. Based on the operational needs of the company, you may be required to work holidays and company sponsored holidays.
