Corpus/McAllen Painter/handyman independent contractor

We’re hiring experienced painters and multi-skilled handymen for commercial work from Corpus Christi down to McAllen and the Rio Grande Valley.

This is hands-on finishing work on commercial buildings: offices, retail, warehouses, medical, and similar sites. If you can prep, patch, paint, and handle basic repairs without being babysat, we want you.

What you’ll do

• Prep commercial interiors and exteriors: patch, tape, float, sand, caulk, prime
• Paint walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and metal using brush, roll, and spray
• Drywall repair and finishing
• Light handyman work: trim, hardware, minor carpentry, touch-ups, punch-list items
• Protect floors, fixtures, and occupied spaces; keep jobs clean and professional
• Work from a punch list or scope and finish jobs on schedule
• Travel between job sites along the Corpus–Kingsville–Harlingen–McAllen corridor as needed

What we’re looking for

• Real commercial painting or finishing experience (not just residential touch-up)
• Comfortable on ladders, scaffolds, and lifts
• Clean, reliable, on time, and able to work around tenants and other trades
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Own basic hand tools and painting tools (sprayer a plus)
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and work full days in Texas heat
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Requirements

• 2+ years painting, drywall, or commercial handyman experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must pass a background check and drug screen
• Willingness to travel the Corpus Christi–McAllen area for work

Pay & schedule

Pay based on experience. Steady commercial work.
