The position will provide audit support for a large government customer. 
Work Location: Completely on-site in Honolulu, HI.

Basic Required Qualifications and Skills: Note: These are mandatory items that all candidates must have when submitting an application to IMC for this position.   • Minimum of 3 years of experience performing financial statement audits, including internal control testing. 
  • Experience with: 
    • Historical comparative analysis of financial records. 
    • Department of Defense or Department of Navy
    • Microsoft Excel, including formulas such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and advanced charting such as slicers, data visualization, reconciliations, Power Query, and macros
    • Employing business process improvements techniques to create efficiencies.  
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS). 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear and concise information across multiple platforms.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to stay focused, organized, and plan work independently or collaboratively in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience supporting customers with classified and unclassified environments.
  • Pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • All applicants must have current DoD Secret clearance day one and prior to entry on duty.

Desired Qualifications and Skills: It is desirable that the candidate have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Certified Public Account (CPA) 
  • Experience with Standard Accounting, Budgeting, and Reporting System (SABRS), SABRS Management Analysis Retrieval Tool (SMARTS), Advanced Analytics (ADVANA) or Jupiter, SharePoint, and Navy Enterprise Resource Management (NERP).  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This position will include, but is not limited to, the following tasks:

  • Collect, review, reconcile, and maintain financial data, audit evidence, and support documentation. 
  • Analyze budget, accounting, obligation, expenditure and reporting data to identify discrepancies, trends and control gaps. 
  • Track audit findings, corrective actions, milestones, due dates, and closure documentation.
  • Support internal control testing, risk assessments, process reviews, SOPs, reports, dashboards, briefings, and executive summaries.
  • Assist with budget execution reviews, funds status reporting, obligation and expenditure analysis, unmatched transaction research, and year-end closeout activities.
  • Perform other related audit support, financial analysis, documentation, and reporting duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
