Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of cardiac cath lab experience and RCIS certification to support cardiac and peripheral invasive procedures.
Details
- Acute care cardiac cath lab setting with 2 procedure beds/labs
- Average of 8 cases per day
- Cases include all cardiac invasive procedures (excluding structural heart) as well as peripheral procedures such as carotid, A/V grafts, EVAR, and peripheral diagnostics/interventions
- Uses Cerner EMR
- Monday-Friday day shift, 0700-1730, plus required call
- Call requirement averages 12 days per month, including at least one weekend (Friday 1730 to Monday 0700), with a 30-minute response time
- Holiday coverage is required via rotating, assigned call
- No floating required
- Facility has Charge Nurse coverage, dedicated Cath Lab/IR Techs, IV Team, 24/7 RT, and 24/7 Pharmacy support
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience required
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Must have scrub experience for PCI/STEMI cases
- Must be able to scrub both cardiac and peripheral cases
- Radiology license not required
- License required if applicable
- Active state or compact (NLC) license required for the state of submission; pending licenses not accepted
- Copy of driver's license required to validate legal name for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include scrubbing in for cardiac invasive procedures and peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional cases
- Floor-specific orientation generally consists of 1-2 shifts depending on skill level, in addition to 12 hours of general orientation
- Hospital-provided scrubs
- Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity Health, within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will still be considered
