Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 1+ year of general IR experience for a tertiary hospital setting requiring BLS, ARRT (R), and SCQRSA certification.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit within a tertiary hospital
- Daily caseload of approximately 4 cases per tech
- 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- On-call rotation required between two other techs
- Weekend rotation required every third weekend
- No floating required within scope
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an IR Tech
- General IR case experience required
- Neuro IR case experience preferred
- BLS, ARRT (R), and SCQRSA certifications required
- Radiation badge required and must be provided by candidate/agency
- License required if applicable
- Driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- OR scrubs provided by facility
- No parking cost
- First-time travelers accepted
- Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the facility for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates within 60 miles are not accepted; non-local candidates are prioritized
- RTO must be submitted and approved prior to offer, with approval based on facility needs
- Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval based on unit needs
- Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
- During hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
