Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT certification for a role covering both X-ray and CT imaging across outpatient, ED, and inpatient settings.
Details
- Performs both X-ray exams and CT scans for outpatient, ED, and inpatient populations
- Basic CT scans include angiography procedures
- Work settings include adult acute care, adult outpatient, ED, and pediatric acute care
- 4x10 variable day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Overnight on-call required approximately every 2-3 nights
- Must float within scope to cover X-ray as needed
- Uses GE CT equipment and PACS imaging system
- Fuji equipment experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist required
- ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certification required
- BLS and Fluoroscopy Permit preferred
- License required if applicable
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Experience with CT of abdomen, pelvis, chest, head/neck, and spine with and without contrast
- Vascular CTA experience required
- Experience with multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) post-processing
- Preferred skills include aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, and pediatric acute care imaging
- Ability to prepare and administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- RTO is approved on an individual basis upon offer
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- May be required to float to nearby sister facilities within the health system
- Facility provides housing and a shared-use rental vehicle for the duration of the assignment
