Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of CT experience including trauma and stroke protocol imaging (CTA Head and Perfusion studies).
Details
- Perform routine and specialized CT procedures in an acute care hospital setting
- Experience with CT trauma cases and stroke protocol imaging including CTA Head and Perfusion studies
- Preferred experience with Epic charting system
- 4x10 hour night shifts from 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM
- Every other weekend rotation required
- No on-call requirements, with call-back opportunities available on a volunteer basis
Requirements
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- CA CRT certification required
- CA Fluoroscopy Permit required
- ARRT (R) certification required
- CA state license required if applicable
- Minimum of 2 years of CT experience required
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Experience preparing and/or administering contrast media
- Knowledge of radiation safety and infection prevention practices including isolation precautions and PPE
Additional Information
- Work independently to execute safe, precise CT procedures and deliver accurate, timely results
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure cooperation and confidence during procedures
- Local candidates accepted at the local rate
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
- Returning employees must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a travel staff
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
- Must complete required lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
- First-time travelers may be considered for this role
