Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 3+ years experience and CA CRT license to work in a cardiac intervention radiology room with structural heart capabilities.
Details
- Cardiac intervention radiology room with structural heart capabilities
- 3 procedure rooms with average daily census of 15
- Monday-Friday day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM or 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
- Call required, 3 call shifts in a 2-week period
- Weekend call required approximately every 6 weeks
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Cath Lab/EP Tech experience required
- California CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) state license required and must be in hand at submission
- ACLS, ARRT-R, BLS, and Fluoroscopy Permit required
- CCI RCIS certification preferred
- License required if applicable
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Skills in venous access, central line care and maintenance, and vascular closure systems required
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including PCI, PTCA, left/right heart catheterization, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Experience with IABP and Impella placement/removal, temporary and permanent pacemaker insertion
- TAVR and Watchman procedure experience preferred
- Carotid stenting and thrombolysis/thrombectomy experience preferred
- Scrub procedure experience preferred
- Proficiency with fluoroscopy equipment and PACS system
- Knowledge of sterile technique, infection control, and isolation precautions/PPE
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures including stent placement, angioplasty, and structural heart interventions
- Responsibilities include equipment setup, prepping access sites, monitoring, and maintaining sterile fields as room circulator or scrub tech
- Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias during procedures
- Scrubs provided
- First-time travelers will be considered for this role
- Candidates must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a lower bill rate
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
- Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the region
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required
