Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for weekend night shifts, requiring ARRT registration in Radiography and CT (or CNCT), Illinois IEMA licensure, and BLS certification.

Details

  • Hospital-based CT department serving inpatient, outpatient, and Emergency Department patients
  • Utilizes Epic and PACS systems along with independent workstation and pressure injector equipment
  • Performs CT angiography, 3D imaging, MIP, VR, vessel analysis, and MPR reconstructions for radiologist interpretation
  • Weekend night shifts Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • 12-hour shifts, 24 hours per week
  • Holiday coverage required when the holiday falls on a scheduled weekend shift

Requirements

  • Certificate of completion from an accredited Radiologic Technology program or college diploma in a related field
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography through the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • ARRT registration in Radiography (R)
  • ARRT registration in Computed Tomography (CT) or Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT) certification
  • Experience with Epic and PACS charting systems
  • Ability to initiate IVs and administer contrast media per department protocol
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include patient positioning, protocol tailoring, contrast administration, and post-processing of CT images for radiologist review
  • Documents patient history, exam data, charges, and any adverse reactions or unusual occurrences
  • Collaborates with radiologists to tailor scan protocols to individual patient needs
  • Maintains licensure and continuing education requirements
  • RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered; local candidates are not accepted
  • Contingent workers may not remain on assignment at this facility for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service
