Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for weekend night shifts, requiring ARRT registration in Radiography and CT (or CNCT), Illinois IEMA licensure, and BLS certification.
Details
- Hospital-based CT department serving inpatient, outpatient, and Emergency Department patients
- Utilizes Epic and PACS systems along with independent workstation and pressure injector equipment
- Performs CT angiography, 3D imaging, MIP, VR, vessel analysis, and MPR reconstructions for radiologist interpretation
- Weekend night shifts Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 12-hour shifts, 24 hours per week
- Holiday coverage required when the holiday falls on a scheduled weekend shift
Requirements
- Certificate of completion from an accredited Radiologic Technology program or college diploma in a related field
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography through the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- ARRT registration in Radiography (R)
- ARRT registration in Computed Tomography (CT) or Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT) certification
- Experience with Epic and PACS charting systems
- Ability to initiate IVs and administer contrast media per department protocol
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient positioning, protocol tailoring, contrast administration, and post-processing of CT images for radiologist review
- Documents patient history, exam data, charges, and any adverse reactions or unusual occurrences
- Collaborates with radiologists to tailor scan protocols to individual patient needs
- Maintains licensure and continuing education requirements
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered; local candidates are not accepted
- Contingent workers may not remain on assignment at this facility for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service
