Title: General Production Support
Location: Wichita Falls, TX 76306
Duration: Contract
Shift: 7:00PM to 7:00AM
Job Description
• The Production Support is responsible for performing daily tasks and activities that support general Manufacturing Operations in the facility.
• Reports to Group Performance Leader (GPL). Some daily activity may be directed by Technical Manager, Process Engineering and other Plant Leadership Team (PLT) members.
• Safety – All safety rules and regulations must be adhered to at all times. Only job tasks that a contingent worker is trained on, will they be allowed to perform.
o First day of employment will be approximately 8 hours of safety orientation
o Steel toed boots or shoes are required and must meet composite or steel ANSI / ASTM certification. Proof should be brought with contingent worker to the orientation.
o Safety glasses, hair nets, beard nets, and ear plugs will be provided.
o Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds routinely during the 12 hour shift
• Quality - Must meet strict quality requirements of Sealed Air and maintain safe quality food handling guidelines at all times.
• Able to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management
• Pre-Press:
o Make, mount, demount, and maintain plates as needed for the press
o Requires cleaning of plates with solvents
o Record keeping of plates and locations within data base on computer
• Ink room:
o Make inks and adhesive as needed to support the press department
o Will be taught color matching skills at press side
o Clean press parts, ink buckets, adhesive carts, etc.. with solvents daily
o Record keeping and ink dispensing on the computer
• Core Cutting:
o Cut cores, assist slitting float, maintain bailer, and support pack out as needed
o Must be able to use a tape measure fluently and understand metric measures
o Remove trash and debris from department as needed throughout the day
• Press Assistant:
o Load raw materials as needed (using overhead hoist and doffing equipment)
o Input production information into computer (SAP experience is a plus)
o Support printing Press Operators as needed loading inks, plates, anilox, etc..
o Clean, empty trash, and support Press Operators as requested
Qualifications
• Must be willing to work days or night shifts
• Positive work history with an ability to manage multiple tasks
• Able to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with professional presentation and negotiation skills.
• Education – Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
