Overview
Schedule: Mon-Fri 6am -2:30pm
Quality Electrical Systems (QES) is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Equipment Maintenance Technician to help keep our manufacturing equipment and facility operating safely and efficiently.
This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and completing repairs on production equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate enjoys working with machinery, solving mechanical problems, and takes pride in minimizing equipment downtime.

Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance
Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
Inspect equipment for wear, damage, and potential failures.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs to minimize downtime.
Replace or repair components such as bearings, belts, chains, rollers, motors, and other mechanical parts.
Assist with equipment installations, adjustments, and upgrades.
Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
Facility Maintenance
Perform general maintenance on the manufacturing facility including doors, lighting, plumbing fixtures, compressed air systems, and other building components.
Assist with basic HVAC and facility repairs as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Preventive Maintenance
Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on time.
Document completed maintenance and repairs.
Report equipment concerns before failures occur.
Safety
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
Safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.
Help identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and workplace safety.

Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or GED.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Experience performing maintenance or repairs on machinery, equipment, vehicles, or mechanical systems.
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools.
Ability to read equipment manuals and follow maintenance procedures.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize work and respond to maintenance needs.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders or lifts when necessary.
Preferred
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Technical school or vocational training in maintenance, mechanics, manufacturing, or a related field.
Experience with hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
Basic electrical troubleshooting experience.
Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
Forklift certification is a plus.
