Job Description
The Panther Group is seeking experienced Electronic Assemblers for an exciting opportunity with a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer in Austin, TX. This is a hands-on manufacturing position for candidates who enjoy working with electronic components, following detailed instructions, and producing high-quality assemblies.
What You'll Do- Assemble, disassemble, and modify electronic production subassemblies according to detailed work instructions and drawings.
- Follow established work plans and procedures to ensure accurate and consistent assembly.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and production requirements.
- Read and interpret assembly instructions, work plans, and technical drawings.
- Develop proficiency in soldering and obtain required solder certification.
- Use basic computer systems and manufacturing software for production and data collection.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
- Learn new processes and technologies as production requirements evolve.
- High school diploma or GED plus 2+ years of relevant work experience, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of electronic assembly experience preferred.
- Experience assembling electronic components or production subassemblies.
- Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and ability to work with small components.
- Ability and willingness to become solder certified.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
- IPC-A-610 and/or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification.
- Previous soldering experience.
- Experience working in an aerospace, defense, electronics, or other highly regulated manufacturing environment.
