Electronic Assembler (1st Shift)

The Panther Group is seeking experienced Electronic Assemblers for an exciting opportunity with a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer in Austin, TX. This is a hands-on manufacturing position for candidates who enjoy working with electronic components, following detailed instructions, and producing high-quality assemblies.

• Assemble, disassemble, and modify electronic production subassemblies according to detailed work instructions and drawings.
• Follow established work plans and procedures to ensure accurate and consistent assembly.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and production requirements.
• Read and interpret assembly instructions, work plans, and technical drawings.
• Develop proficiency in soldering and obtain required solder certification.
• Use basic computer systems and manufacturing software for production and data collection.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
• Learn new processes and technologies as production requirements evolve.

• High school diploma or GED plus 2+ years of relevant work experience, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of electronic assembly experience preferred.
• Experience assembling electronic components or production subassemblies.
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and ability to work with small components.
• Ability and willingness to become solder certified.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.

• IPC-A-610 and/or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification.
• Previous soldering experience.
• Experience working in an aerospace, defense, electronics, or other highly regulated manufacturing environment.
