Overview
Level Up Sourcing LLC is seeking experienced Blow Molder Operators for a plastics manufacturing facility in Fort Worth.
In this hands-on position, you will operate, monitor, and adjust blow-molding equipment to maintain product quality and production efficiency. Candidates must have previous plastics manufacturing and machine-operating experience. Previous blow-molding experience is preferred.
This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor blow-molding machines and related auxiliary equipment
- Adjust machine weights, settings, temperatures, pressures, speeds, and cycle parameters to maintain product specifications
- Perform machine startups, shutdowns, and product changeovers
- Monitor production output and make necessary adjustments to maintain efficiency and reduce waste
- Troubleshoot machine and production issues to minimize downtime
- Inspect finished products for defects, proper weight, dimensions, appearance, and overall quality
- Accurately use micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools to verify product specifications
- Remove or separate products that do not meet quality standards
- Read and follow production schedules, work orders, product specifications, and quality requirements
- Record production counts, machine settings, quality results, downtime, and other required information accurately
- Communicate equipment problems and production concerns to supervisors and maintenance personnel
- Assist with basic machine cleaning and routine operator-level maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety procedures, manufacturing guidelines, and supervisor instructions
Qualifications
- Previous plastics manufacturing experience is required
- Previous machine-operating experience is required
- Previous blow-molding experience is preferred
- Experience adjusting machine weights, settings, or production parameters is preferred
- Proficiency using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools
- Ability to accurately read and record measurements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to identify product defects and make appropriate machine adjustments
- Knowledge of PLC systems and machine controls is preferred
- Ability to read and follow production specifications and work instructions
- Basic math skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Dependable attendance, punctuality, and reliable transportation
- Ability to work overtime as needed
Physical and Work Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive production tasks
- Ability to work around moving machinery and manufacturing equipment
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
