Job Description
The Panther Group is seeking Electronic Assemblers to join a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer in Austin, TX. This is an excellent opportunity to work with advanced electronic systems in a clean, high-tech manufacturing environment while building products that support critical defense technologies.

Responsibilities- Assemble electronic components, assemblies, subassemblies, and modules using work instructions, drawings, schematics, and process documentation.
- Perform electronic and mechanical assembly operations, including:
- Wire termination
- Cable and wire harness installation
- Mechanical assembly
- Connector installation
- Torque applications
- Assemble, disassemble, and modify production assemblies and prototype units.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure compliance with IPC and J-STD workmanship standards.
- Use microscopes and precision hand tools to complete detailed assembly work.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve production issues and improve processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
- High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School diploma
- Minimum of 2 years of electronic assembly experience
- Experience assembling small electronic devices
- Experience with:
- Wire harnesses
- Cabling
- Wiring
- Mechanical assembly
- Soldering
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Blueprints
- Schematics
- Engineering drawings
- Assembly instructions
- Computer proficiency
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience working under a microscope
- Ability to obtain:
- Solder Certification
- ESD Certification
- Material Handling Certification
- 1-3 years of electronic assembly experience
- Electronic/mechanical assembly experience
- IPC-A-610 or J-STD soldering experience
- Knowledge of:
- Resistors
- Capacitors
- Diodes
- Transistors
- Relays
- Transformers
- Experience using crimping tools
- Previous aerospace, defense, or military electronics manufacturing experience
