Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $19.00-$25.00 per hour (based on experience)

Medix is partnering with a well-respected healthcare network in the Pleasant Prairie area to recruit a dedicated, detail-oriented Medical Assistant. In this dynamic dual role, you will bridge the gap between clinical support and patient operations, playing a central role in delivering exceptional, compassionate patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care: Warmly room patients, record accurate vital signs, and provide hands-on assistance to providers during clinical procedures.

• Clinical Procedures: Safely administer injections and medications as directed by healthcare providers.

• Patient Education: Guide patients through post-visit instructions, health education, and care coordination to ensure seamless follow-through.

• Clinic Operations: Prepare, clean, and maintain fully stocked exam rooms to keep daily schedules running on time.

• Seamless Documentation: Accurately document visit details, patient histories, and chart updates in Epic EMR, while assisting with follow-up scheduling.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1+ years of recent Medical Assistant experience in a busy clinic or outpatient setting.

• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with EMR systems (Epic experience is highly preferred).

• Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, or willingness to complete certification within 6 weeks of hire.

• Core Strengths: Excellent communication, a collaborative team-first mindset, and a strong track record of punctuality and dependability.
