Job Summary
A growing U.S. subsidiary in the semiconductor packaging and advanced manufacturing space is seeking a bilingual Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join its San Jose, CA team. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a supply chain professional who is fluent in English and Japanese and enjoys working at the intersection of planning, procurement, supplier management, and global business coordination.
This role offers the chance to work closely with teams in the U.S., Japan, and across global supplier networks to improve material availability, supplier performance, and supply chain continuity. The Supply Chain Planning Specialist will serve as a key communication bridge between English-speaking and Japanese-speaking stakeholders, helping align technical, operational, and business priorities while supporting timely decision-making and strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor supplier performance related to quality, delivery, capacity, lead times, responsiveness, and supply continuity.
- Coordinate with procurement, planning, operations, engineering, quality, suppliers, and customer-facing teams to ensure uninterrupted material supply.
- Analyze supply chain risks and develop mitigation, recovery, and contingency plans to support business and customer requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between U.S. and Japan teams, helping overcome language, cultural, and organizational barriers to drive effective communication and execution.
- Support supplier audits, business reviews, performance evaluations, corrective actions, root cause investigations, sourcing, qualification, and capacity expansion initiatives.
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes, yields, quality, lead-time performance, and overall supply chain effectiveness.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $96,700 to $110,800 per year.
- Bonus estimate: $20,000 to $30,000 yearly.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
