Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Lead Glazier / Senior Installer to install, repair, and complete custom glass projects for residential and commercial clients. You'll work independently in the field while also leading, training, and directing other installers and helpers.
What You'll Do
- Install and repair custom shower enclosures, windows, doors, mirrors, storefronts, and other architectural glass
- Measure, cut, fabricate, and fit glass and related materials
- Apply sealants, adhesives, and glazing compounds for a proper, weatherproof finish
- Read blueprints, work orders, and job specs, and complete work to code
- Supervise and mentor other installers on-site, ensuring quality and safety standards are met
- Communicate daily with management on job progress, materials needed, and any issues
- Inspect materials before jobs to catch damaged, incorrect, or missing items early
- Deliver a great customer experience: protect property, keep job sites clean, and walk customers through completed work
What We're Looking For
- Solid experience in glazing and glass installation, ideally in a lead or senior role
- Experience with custom residential glass work: shower enclosures, windows, doors, mirrors, storefronts
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read blueprints and technical specs
- Comfortable supervising and training a small crew
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between job sites
Physical Requirements
This is a physically active role. You'll be on your feet, bending, lifting, and working from ladders throughout the day, often handling large or heavy glass. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified candidates.
Work Environment
Work takes place at customer homes, construction sites, and commercial properties, with some outdoor exposure to heat, dust, and active job-site conditions. PPE and safety protocols apply at all times.
