Kelly is currently seeking an Associate Analytical Technician for a long-term opportunity in Seadrift, Texas! The Associate Analytical Technician supports manufacturing operations by conducting laboratory analyses, as needed, which provide critical data. The Associate Analytical Technician will also prepare samples, perform preventive maintenance of laboratory instrumentation and use data systems to acquire data to then report results to the client. This role requires established basic laboratory skills to perform a range of routine lab activities using existing standard operating procedures and or analytical scientific methods.

Responsibilities
  • Trains to perform routine analyses under direction of senior team member until proficiency is demonstrated.
  • Collect samples according to the Sample Plan.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance of analytical systems.
  • Provide evaluation of validity of data for routine analyses and takes appropriate action.
  • Monitor analytical systems and escalate problems as appropriate.
  • Document, communicate and archive analytical results and data.
  • Follow EH&S and operating discipline management system (ODMS) procedures and practices for work tasks.
  • Suggest improvements to lab work processes and tools.
  • Escalate non-routine requests to appropriate team member for follow-up.

Experience
  • A minimum of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with relevant laboratory experience OR 3-5 years relevant experience OR relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.
  • Previous shift-work experience preferred

DuPont Rotating Shift Schedule
This position follows a 4-3-3-4 DuPont Schedule, rotating between days and nights:
  • 4 night shifts
  • 3 days off
  • 3 day shifts
  • 1 day off
  • 3 night shifts
  • 3 days off
  • 4 day shifts

PPE Requirements
Candidate Must Provide
  • Non-permeable work shoes prior to start date.
  • Preferred: Steel-toe or protective toe footwear.
Site Provides
  • Laboratory coats
  • Standard PPE
  • Safety glasses and side shields (standard issue) (Candidates requiring prescription safety glasses may be responsible for obtaining those independently.)
